(KSL News) Sandy residents saw a huge lift in home-town pride today.
Thousands of volunteers throughout the city pitched in to help spruce it up for Sandy Pride Day. One group edged headstones at the Sandy Cemetery. Other groups helped plant trees, flowers, shrubs, some fence mending and other fix-up jobs.
Sandy officials hopes the hard work will instill a caring attitude in residents and business owners.
