SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man reported missing from a treatment facility earlier this week has returned.

Larry Caplinger, 68, showed up at the Valley Woods Mental Health Center, 3610 S. 1000 West, in a taxi cab Saturday, according to a written statement from South Salt Lake Police.

Caplinger was in "reasonable health" but could not "articulate where he had been during his time away," police said.

An endangered missing advisory was issued for Caplinger on Tuesday, after Caplinger had been gone more than day. Police said they were concerned for his mental and medical health.

In their statement Saturday, police thanked the media for their help in getting information about Caplinger to the public.
