Chris Kaye reportingSome Ogden residents may soon be able to smell their roses instead of dog food.
A Ogden dog food factory is installing a million dollar odor control system to help reduce the smell it emits in nearby neighborhoods.
Resident Susan Cotrell says the smell near Wall Avenue and 30th Street is pretty bad.
Susan Cotrell: "Most of time, yes. Especially in the heat and when the wind blows."
Chantelly Guiterrez, who also lives nearby, says she doesn't think it will help.
Chantelly Guiterrez: "I don't think they care because of the neighborhood that it's in, and if it was up in North Ogden or South Ogden it would already be shut down and it would be already taken care of. But since it's down here in the area that it's in I don't think they are going to fix it."
American Nutrition Incorporated hopes to have the odor scrubber installed in the next few months.
