SPRINGVILLE — Petty Officer First Class Matt Golding surprised his family on Tuesday with a homecoming that has been in the works for months.
Golding has spent the past seven months serving with the Navy Reserve in Afghanistan after he was deployed a year ago.
The naval officer first surprised his mother then visited his first grade daughter and her teacher — who also happens to be his wife — at Cherry Creek Elementary School.
