LOGAN — Two teenagers were caught shooting ducks at a park Monday, police said.

A man who lives near Willow Park, located at 450 W. 700 South in Logan, approached the two teenagers and told them not to shoot the ducks because they are protected, according to Logan police Chief Gary Jensen.

The man told police that the teenagers hid the airsoft gun in the bushes, but gave it to him after he asked for it. He instructed the teenagers to contact police if they wanted to get their airsoft gun back.

The teenagers then left the area in a car, Jensen said. The incident occurred on the west side of the park, according to police.

Investigators said they have not yet made contact with the teenagers because the man who reported the incident did not know the car’s license plate number.

Anyone with information can contact Logan police at 435-716-9300.
