PADERBORN, Germany — A wheelbarrow is likely the last item in your shed you’d imagine could be “tricked out” and turned into a legitimate extreme sports accessory. But a German man has made it possible.
In similar fashion to the high-production skate videos released, a video called “Golden Boy” documents one man’s talents using a 24 carat gold “sport-barrow.” Siggi, from Paderborn, Germany, describes all the specs on his special wheelbarrow before taking it to the streets — it features 80 liters of fill capacity and “super long titanium handlebars” with custom made grips in “gorgeous ferrari red.”
Siggi is super excited about his “extravagant dunlop 305 all-weather stunt tyre,” which will be the star of the tricks.
The video shows Siggi bouncing his “sport-barrow,” going off kickers, grinding handrails, and of course a flip-to-grind trick of some sort.
It’s impressive to say the least, but probably not something that will be a new trend. But who really thought planking was going to be a thing?
