(KSL News) -- Former Salt Lake County Attorney Ted Cannon was granted an extension to comply with an order to move from his apartment.

Cannon was originally told he had to leave by today.

Other residents at Philips Plaza testified Cannon had guns, made threatening remarks, and his apartment smelled of garbage.

Cannon says he's willing to move, but he wants to do it on his own terms.

Ted Cannon: "It will be a great relief to me to be away from the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City and its minions and all it's incredibly unfeeling and inappropriate doings."

The judge gave Cannon until 10:00 Sunday night to leave.
