DUCKBURG — If you were a kid between 1987 and 1990, or if you were a Disney rerun junkie, you are more than likely a fan of Disney’s cartoon “DuckTales.”

If you fit into those categories, it’s practically guaranteed that you know all the words to the theme song, from “Life is like a hurricane” down to all the “woo-oos!” Indeed, the “DuckTales” theme song is the pure magic that can recall entire chunks of my childhood. (That and the smell of crayons.)

With that kind of personal love in mind, multiplied by how many hundreds of thousands of people worldwide love “DuckTales,” plus the absolute creativity and often useless nature of things people put on the Internet, it’s a wonder that no one has thought to recreate the opening credits of “DuckTales” using real ducks until now. But recreated it YouTube user Oh My Disney has.

The live-duck homage is a truly faithful recreation of the original opening credits to the cartoon. Well, as faithful as you can get with untrained ducklings. The video and ducks come complete with costumes and iconic scene recreations: Live Webby has her little bow on top of her head; live Gyro sports a knight’s helmet; live Launchpad flies his red plane into Duckburg; and live Scrooge even disappears into a giant pool of gold coins.

Dear readers, I even watched the videos side-by-side in my research to confirm that the recreation is faithful (you’re welcome), and I know you “DuckTales” fans will find it as great as I do. Which is pretty great.
