(KSL News) Wasatch Junior High will get a brand new building.
The Granite School District board unanimously approved the building along with a new elementary school in Diamond Summit last night.
In addition to about $12.5 million in insurance money received after Wasatch burned down last summer, the board allocated $5 million to build an entirely new school.
Teachers will receive a five percent cost-of-living increase. The board also will put $3 million toward Granger High School and $2 million toward Granite High for upgrades.
