NEW YORK (AP) — This season's winner of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" will be crowned "America's Favorite Dancer," get a cash prize and something else — a possible Broadway role.
The show announced Wednesday night that among the prizes on Season 11 will be a shot at a small role in this fall's revival of "On the Town."
"On the Town," which was made into a 1949 film starring Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, features the songs "New York, New York" and "Lonely Town." In it, three sailors jump around the city looking for love.
The show's Broadway tie-in also will include "On the Town" choreographer Joshua Bergasse planning a performance of "New York, New York" featuring the Top 20 finalists on July 9.
