SALT LAKE CITY — Communities throughout Utah will celebrate their founding and heritage with festivals this summer.

From parades to fireworks to demolition derbys, July will have celebrations ranging from day-long festivals to those with activities that last an entire week.

July 2-5:Mount Pleasant Hub City Days: With a rodeo, community breakfast and a parade, the weekend celebration will have fun for all ages.

July 3-5:Provo Freedom Festival: This hugely popular event features a carnival, a parade and culminates in Stadium of Fire, featuring Carrie Underwood.

July 4:East Millcreek Fourth of July Celebration: The day kicks off with a chuckwagon breakfast, with games, entertainment and a parade rounding out the celebration.

July 7-12:F armington Festival Days: This festival features a family bike race, a parade and festival booths.

July 11-12:Boulder Heritage Festival: Featuring two days of live music on an outdoor stage, with beautiful Boulder as the backdrop, the 10th anniversary of the festival will be a big hit.

July 11-12:Payson Scottish Festival: With Highland games, Scottish food and vendors, dance performances and more, there is no better place to get in touch with one's heritage or discover a love for all things Scottish.

PRCA consistently votes Days of '47 Rodeo as one of the country's 
top rodeos. Professional, nationally ranked cowboys and cowgirls 
head to Utah to compete for more than $200,000 in prize money as 
they challenge the Bar T's award winning rodeo stock. The Bar T 
Rodeo returns to the Days of '47 with their world champion 
livestock.
Events include bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel 
racing, team roping, steer wrestling and tie-down roping. (Laura

July 11-20:Draper Days: This week-long community celebration features a car show, movie in the park, a parade, a rodeo and fireworks. Something for everyone. July 12-19:American Fork Steel Days: A soapbox derby, the traditional American Fork High School Band breakfast, swimming and a 5K are only some of the activities.

July 17-26:Fairview Pioneer Days: Sports tournaments, a 5K, rodeo and demolition derby are all part of the celebration in Fairview.

July 18-29:Fountain Green Lamb Days: The annual Lamb Days feature a lamb and sourdough dinner followed by a parade and a craft fair.

July 18-26:Uintah County Fair: With 4H exhibits and competitions, food galore and the Miss Uintah County Queen Pageant, the week is full of activities for all ages.

July 23-24:Bountiful Handcart Days: A parade and fireworks are part of the celebration, along with historical tours and live entertainment in the park.

July 24:Salt Lake Days of ‘47: Celebrating pioneer heritage with events through the month of July, it all comes together with a parade, a marathon and a rodeo.

July 25-26:Tremonton City Days: A movie in the park and a softball tournament are part of the fun in Tremonton.

July 26-Aug. 2:Highland Fling Days With a baby contest, dance competition, fun runs and a pancake breakfast, there are many ways to celebrate.

July 28-Aug. 2:Wasatch County Fair: A barbecue for the community is one of the highlights of the fair. Also with a battle of the bands and a carnival, there is constant entertainment. Admission to the fair is free.

July 28-Aug. 2:Emery County Fair: American Young, a country duo, will be headlining this year’s concert. The fair also features a carnival and a parade.

July 28-Aug. 2:World Folkfest: Bringing together folk dance groups from around the world, this festival in Utah County features five evening performances in Springville.

July 31-Aug. 2:Garden City Raspberry Days: Featuring the world-famous Bear Lake raspberries, the celebration draws crowds from all over Utah. A parade, fireworks on the beach and a pancake breakfast are part of the fun.

July 31-Aug. 2:Tooele County Fair: The event has a livestock auction and show, a demolition derby and live entertainment.
