PARK CITY — The "PC" letters on Park City Hill were recently altered to read "POT."
The letters representing Park City High School were altered sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning, police said. The person or persons involved used wide-ruled white paper to make the letters appear to read "POT," according to Park City Police Capt. Phil Kirk.
“Our officers noticed it as soon as the sun was coming up and we got up there and removed the alteration to the ‘PC’ sign before most people even saw it,” he said.
Kirk said the "PC" letters are primarily for Park City High School, but that he thinks many people in the city have pride in them. The letters are typically maintained by the high school, he said.
Police have not yet identified any suspects in the case of criminal mischief, but the investigation is ongoing.
