(KSL News) -- Police say a woman put up a fight when a robber tried to take her purse and her car today in West Valley City.
The woman was at the post office on 35th south and 44th west this morning when a man approached her. The woman says the man told her he had a gun, and demanded her car.
When she refused, the man then demanded her purse. She wouldn't give in so the man hit her several times in the face, took her purse and ran.
Police recovered the purse on post office grounds. They're still looking for the bad guy.
