Hi there everybody and welcome to KSL Golf presented by Siegfried & Jensen.

This week we are at Spanish Oaks in Spanish Fork, where this Friday and Saturday is the Spanish Oaks Open. The top amateurs and pros will be here as this is one of the majors on the Utah golf circuit.

Dustin Volk is the defending champ in the professional division shooting 14 under in 2013, and Devon Purser is the defending champ in the amateur division shooting 11 under last year.

This week's show includes:

  • Jack Nicklaus: We had the pleasure of having Jack Nicklaus in Utah last Tuesday. The Golden Bear was the key note speaker at the Governors 'Best Of State' awards. Nicklaus also spent some time at Red Ledges in Heber City, one of his 3 courses he's designed in Utah. He toured the course and to see if any changes or updates needed to be made.
  • McBride vs. Edwards, final round: Last week, former BYU football coach LaVell Edwards and the Utes and Wildcats coach Ron McBride, played the first 2 holes in our KSL Cup Celebrity match. LaVell was up 2 strokes before they threw out the Aloha press. So on tonight's 3rd and final hole, Mac will have a chance to erase the deficit and win.
  • Putt for Cash: Time once again to try to give away some money in the Siegfried & Jensen Putt for cash. Each week, one person will have a choice of a 10 footer for 1000 dollars, 20 footer for 2000 or a 30 footer for 3000 bucks. And they will get 2 putts at it. This week's putter, Richard Watson of Bountiful.
  • Uinta Golf Tip of the Week: Our question comes from John Turner of Layton and John says he can hit his long irons pretty well, but when he gets to the 8 iron through the wedges he tends to hit em fat, the chunkey monkey. So John needs some help. Thanksgiving Point Director Of Golf Mark Whetzel is here with some help.
