Mary Richards reporting A disturbing case of domestic assault is coming forward. It appears a man attacked his girlfriend's 6-year-old daughter while she was trying to defend her mother.
Court documents say the man was drunk when he punched his girlfriend so hard she fell to the floor. Her 6-year-old daughter tried to stop the beating, but the man then grabbed her and started assaulting her, too.
During that moment, the mom freed herself and pinned down the boyfriend while the 6-year-old girl called 911.
The man has been charged with assault and child abuse.
