WEST VALLEY CITY — Police arrested a man on Friday in connection with a gas station robbery in Taylorsville early Thursday morning.

On Thursday morning at approximately 1:08 a.m., Jeffrey Strobell of Murray allegedly entered the Shell gas station at 4111 S. Redwood Road and demanded money from the clerk.

Police say the suspect held his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun, though no actual weapon was displayed during the robbery. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a white SUV.

Police were unable to locate the suspect at the time, but a Unified Police officer identified the suspect as Jeffrey Strobell. Strobell was located and arrested in West Valley City on Friday without incident. He was booked into the Salt Lake County jail on one charge of aggravated robbery.
