Texas Company Announces its Third US Patent for Tilt-to-Scroll

Smartphone Technology

HOUSTON, March 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- INNOVENTIONS, Inc. has been

awarded today US Patent 8,675,019 for its RotoView "tilt-to-scroll"

technology for smart scrolling of mobile phone displays. The new

patent, titled "View Navigation Guidance System for Hand-Held Devices

RotoView is the original smart scroll technology for tilt and motion

gestures to navigate the displays used in hand held mobile electronic

devices. Invented more than 14 years ago by Dr. David Y. Feinstein,

the President and CTO of INNOVENTIONS, this technology is now being

implemented by the company in popular smart phones using the iOS and

Android operating systems.

"For over a decade, we have been actively developing RotoView and

demonstrating the benefit of using tilt and movement gestures to

navigate smartphone displays," said Feinstein "The new patent enhances

RotoView technology, creating an intuitive and user-friendly interface

to guide tilt-based scrolling efficiently. It demonstrates our

company's ongoing commitment to the development of the

'tilt-to-scroll' view navigation."

In addition to improved view guidance for display scrolling, the new

patent covers technology related to "smart color" synthesis algorithms

of heads-up-display (HUD) buttons and controls. It further allows

auxiliary parameter and command entry by dynamically changing the

location of the HUD control.

INNOVENTIONS is looking for a major smartphone company that is

interested in a strategic investment in the RotoView technology. A

"proof of concept" RotoView app is available from iTunes, with similar

apps being developed for use on Android devices and other mobile

platforms.
