DORAL, Fla. (AP) — Jason Dufner was the leader in the clubhouse though ten holes of the first round of the Cadillac Championship in Florida. He was 5-under-par when play was stopped due to rain. Defending champ Tiger Woods was 1-over-par after six while Phil Mickelson was even at the turn.

DENVER (AP) — The Denver Broncos say they have released cornerback Champ Bailey after 10 seasons with the team. His release was a cost-cutting move, with the 12-time Pro Bowler scheduled to make around $10 million next season.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears say they will not re-sign record-setting return specialist Devin Hester. The team said in a statement it is parting ways with the three-time Pro Bowl pick after eight seasons, confirming what he told the NFL Network the previous day. So instead of a return to Chicago, he'll hit the market as a free agent.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Coach Mike Krzyzewski (shuh-SHEF'-skee) is out of the hospital after feeling light-headed after a loss at Wake Forest. The school said in a statement today that Krzyzewski was taken to Duke University Hospital in Durham for a precautionary examination after the 82-72 loss in Winston-Salem. The school says his symptoms and condition have improved considerably and he was sent home early today.

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Cole Hamels says he won't throw off the mound for at least another week because of fatigue following his latest throwing session. Hamels, the Phillies' opening day starter in 2013, entered camp behind schedule because of biceps tendinitis that began in November.
