Duke's upset leaves Coach K dizzy...Louisville plays home wrecker
UNDATED (AP) -- There were two upsets on Tobacco Road. Duke lost a game and Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski (shuh-SHEF'-skee) missed his postgame news conference because he was feeling light-headed.
Krzyzewski may have poured too much emotion into No. 4 Duke's trip to Wake Forest.
The rest of the Blue Devils didn't seem to have enough.
The Demon Deacons upset Duke 82-72. Coach K experienced enough dizziness and light-headedness to force him to kneel during a late timeout and skip his postgame news conference. Tyler Cavanaugh scored a career-high 20 points for the Demon Deacons.
Duke associate head coach Steve Wojciechowski (woh-jih-KOW'-skee) — who filled in for him — says Krzyzewski has not been sick, is in good shape and expects to make a full recovery.
In other AP Top-25 hoops:
— Tarik Black scored 19 points on perfect shooting in his final game at Allen Fieldhouse, and No. 8 Kansas routed Texas Tech, 82-57. Black finished nine of nine from the field.
— Frank Kaminsky scored 22 points, Traevon (TRAY'-vahn) Jackson added 14 and ninth-ranked Wisconsin finished off its home schedule with a 76-70 victory over Purdue.
— Russ Smith scored 22 of his 26 points after halftime, including six 3-pointers, and No. 11 Louisville became the first opponent to win in SMU's renovated home, beating the 18th-ranked Mustangs 84-71.
— Reserve Jalen Robinson scored all 10 of his points in the second half, including two key 3-pointers in the put-away run, helping Dayton upset No. 17 Saint Louis 72-67. That's the Billikens' third straight loss.
— Shabazz Napier scored 26 points in his final home game, leading 19th-ranked UConn to a 69-63 win over Rutgers. The senior guard made a career-high seven 3-pointers and hit eight of his 13 shots from the floor.
__ The 21st-ranked New Mexico Lobos grounded Air Forced 80-52. Cameron Bairstow led the way with 21 points and seven boards.
__ And No. 23 Oklahoma topped West Virginia 72-62. Cameron Clark had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Sooners.

Nets climb over .500...Pacers lose on back-to-back nights
UNDATED (AP) — Joe Johnson scored 21 points, Marcus Thornton came off the bench for 20, and the Brooklyn Nets powered their way above .500 for the first time this season by beating the Memphis Grizzlies 103-94.
Deron Williams added 16 points and Paul Pierce 14 for the Nets (30-29), who have won four in a row overall and six straight at home in turning around a turbulent start.
The Nets took advantage of the absence of Grizzlies All-Star forward Zach Randolph, who missed this game with the flu.
In the rest of the NBA:
— Carmelo Anthony scored 33 points to help the New York Knicks snap a seven-game losing streak with a 118-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tyson Chandler added 15 points and 14 rebounds.
— Washington outscored Utah 104-91. Trevor Ariza (ah-REE'-zuh) led the Wizards with 26 points and five assists. Bradley Beal added 22. The Wizards shot 54 percent.
— Al Jefferson scored 34 points in Charlotte's 109-87 victory over the Indiana Pacers 109-87 that gave the Bobcats their fifth straight home win. The Pacers lost for the second time in two nights.
__ James Harden scored 31 points, including 25 in the second half, and the Houston Rockets dug out of a double-digit, first-half hole to beat the Orlando Magic 101-89.
— D.J. Augustin scored 26 points off the bench and Joakim Noah had a triple-double as the Chicago Bulls beat the Detroit Pistons 105-94. Noah had 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
__ Golden State won for the second straight night, routing Boston 108-88. Klay Thompson and David Lee led the Warriors with 18 apiece.
__ Denver beat Dallas 115-110. Wilson Chandler led six Nuggets in double figures with 21. Ty Lawson added 20.
— Isaiah Thomas scored 25 points and had six assists to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 116-102 victory over Milwaukee.

Leafs win at Garden for first time since 2011
UNDATED (AP)— Tyler Bozak scored on a penalty shot and then got the winning goal 1:51 into overtime to lift the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-2 victory over the Rangers. That spoiled the New York debut of Martin St. Louis (mar-TAN' san loo-EE'), obtained earlier in the day from Tampa Bay.
Toronto's first win in Madison Square Garden since 2011 ended the Leafs' three-game losing streak. The Rangers have lost three straight.
In other hockey action:
__ Philadelphia built a four-goal lead and beat Washington 6-4. Claude Giroux (zheh-ROO') and Jakub Voracek (YAH'-kuhm VOHR'-rah-chehk) each scored twice for the Flyers. Alex Ovechkin netted his league-leading 44th goal for the Caps. __ Calgary topped Ottawa 4-1. Michael Cammalleri (kam-ihl-YEHR'-ee) scored his 15th for the Flames.
NHL-TRADE DEADLINE
Rangers send Callahan to Lightning...Habs pick up Vanek
UNDATED (AP) — A pair of team captains were part of a headline making deal that came just before the NHL trade deadline.
The Rangers set Ryan Callahan to Tampa Bay in exchange for Martin St. Louis (mar-TAN' SAYNT loo-EE'). The Lightning also get a second-round pick in this year's draft, and a first round pick in next year's draft.
Callahan reportedly wanted a six-year deal worth $6.5 million dollars per season, but it's believed the Rangers wouldn't go above $6 million.
The 38-year old St. Louis had been seeking a trade after initially being left off Canada's Olympic roster by Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman (EYE'-zur-man) who served as Canada's executive director. St. Louis led the NHL in scoring in the lockout shortened 2013 season with 60 points.
In other trade deadline maneuvering:
— Montreal has picked up winger Thomas Vanek from the Islanders for forward prospect Sebastian Collberg, a 2014 second-round pick and a conditional fifth-rounder. Vanek becomes the Canadiens leading scorer with 53 points. The 30-year-old Austrian player is in the final season of a $50 million, seven-year contract.
— Washington has acquire goalie Jaroslav Halak (hah-LAHK') and a 2015 third round draft pick from Buffalo for goalie Michal Neuvirth (NOY'-virth) and defenseman Rostislav Klesla. The Sabres picked up Halak in the trade with St. Louis for Ryan Miller last week.
— Anaheim gets Marian Gaborik (GA'-bor-ihk) from Columbus for right wing Matt Frattin and two conditional draft picks.
— The Pittsburgh Panthers have acquired forward Marcel Goc from the Florida Panthers and forward Lee Stempniak from the Calgary Flames in exchange for draft picks. Their acquisition is expected to give the Penguins some much needed depth on their injury riddled bottom two lines.
— The Boston Bruins have obtained defenseman Andrej Meszaros (AHN'-dray meh-SAR'-ohs) from the Philadelphia Flyers for a 2014 third-round draft choice. The 28-year-old Meszaros played 38 games this season for the Flyers with five goals and 12 assists.
— Dallas has acquired Tim Thomas from the Florida Panthers for Dan Ellis in a swap of goaltenders. The move is designed to give Dallas a boost behind starter Kari Lehtonen in its push for the playoffs.
— Nashville has traded forward David Legwand to Detroit for Patrick Eaves, a prospect and a third-round draft pick. Legwand was the expansion Predators first pick in the 1998 draft. He was tied for the team lead in scoring with 40 points.
—Buffalo has sent forwards Matt Moulson and Cody McCormick to Minnesota in exchange for forward Torrey Mitchell and pair of second-round picks.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL-10 SECOND RULE
Proposed 10-second ruled is sacked
NEW YORK (AP) — The NCAA football rules committee has tabled a proposal that would have penalized offenses for snapping the ball before 10 seconds had run off the 40-second play clock.
After a conference call, the committee decided not to send the so-called 10-second rule to the playing rules oversight panel for approval Thursday.
NCAA national coordinator of officials Rogers Redding told the AP the committee agreed to put off advancing the rule change to get more information from the medical community and allow time for a broader discussion.
Advocates for the change say it will cut down on injuries.
Redding said the NCAA received 324 comments during the feedback period after the proposal passed and 75 percent opposed the change; 16 percent supported the proposal. The rest were uncertain.
NCAA-SCHOLARSHIP LAWSUIT
Former player sues NCAA
UNDATED (AP) — A former West Virginia football player has sued the NCAA and five major conferences saying they have violated antitrust laws by agreeing to cap the value of an athletic scholarship at less than the actual cost of attending school. Former Mountaineers running back Shawne Alston had to take out a $5,500 loan to cover the difference between his scholarship and actual costs of attendance, the lawsuit said. It said if a free market existed in major-college football, cost of attendance, and possibly more, would be included in a scholarship.

Browner reinstate...Hester says he's done in Chicago
UNDATED (AP) — Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner was reinstated by the NFL today following his suspension in December for violating the league's policy on substance abuse. He will miss the first four regular season games. Browner was suspended indefinitely without pay by the league Dec. 18.
Browner's contract with the Seahawks expires March 11, and he will be eligible to sign with a club and participate in offseason and preseason activities
In other NFL news:
— Record-setting returner Devin Hester says he will not be back with the Chicago Bears next season. Hester tells the NFL Network that Chicago "wants to go a different route with me," and that they are "parting ways" with him.
— The Denver Broncos are expected to release perennial Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey. That's what a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Wednesday night.
__The Cleveland Browns have severed ties with troubled receiver Davone Bess. During the offseason Bess has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer at an airport in Florida and posted photos of himself on social media with what appeared to be marijuana. The 28-year-old played one season for the Browns and is owed a guaranteed $3.067 million for 2014.
— The Chicago Bears have agreed to a two-year contract with veteran defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff. He's a four-time Pro Bowl pick.
— There won't be a Buffalo Bills game played in Toronto this year. The Bills have gone 1-5 in the "home" games played in the Canadian city.

Ukraine blanks US 2-0 in friendly
LARNAC, Cyprus (AP) — A small contingent of Ukrainian soccer fans had a couple hours to forget about their nation's troubles, wave their flags and unite amid a political crisis back home. Ukraine eased past the United States 2-0 in an exhibition soccer game shifted from Kharkiv to Cyprus, a Mediterranean island nation 600 miles to the south.
