(KSL News) An Arizona prosecutor is asking that two charges against polygamist leader Warren Jeffs be dismissed.
The Mohave County Attorney filed the motion to dismiss one charge of sexual conduct with a minor and one charge of conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor. The attorney says one of the alleged victims is refusing to testify and without her, there is no case.
The charges stem from the arranged marriage between a 16-year-old girl and her cousin.
A judge is expected to rule on the motion tomorrow. If he dismisses the charges, Jeffs will still face eight felony counts in Arizona.
