ARENDELLE/MIDWAY — Just when you thought we'd already seen all the great performances set in amazing local ice castles, The Piano Guys entered from icy stage right to give us a nice mashup of Vivaldi's "Winter" and a song from Disney's "Frozen."
Who knew the local viral video wars would heat up like this? Alex Boyé and Lexi Walker gave us a great performance last week in the same spot, but The Piano Guys upped the ante with some of their usual extra magic, including grand pianos and a cello carved from ice on-site.
The entire video combines 90 tracks of instrumentals and vocals and was shot using beautiful 4K extra high-definition cameras. Incredibly, the shoot didn't even use green screens to escape the cold — the guys actually performed in the snow and ice.
Check out the behind-the-scenes clip to see the what it takes to play the cello and piano in a frozen ice castle.
