(KSL News and AP reporting) Is Utah ready for a "Totally Awesome" governor?
"Super Dell" Schanze put his name on the ballot this afternoon to run for governor.
This comes just days after he filed to challenge Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon. He has since dropped out of the mayor's race.
In addition to his former business, Schanze is well known for a few legal problems. He was acquitted in 2006 of threatening to use a dangerous weapon after some angry Draper residents confronted him for speeding through their neighborhood. But he was found guilty of lying to police.
He was also charged that year with creating a public nuisance for buzzing Interstate 15 in a paraglider.
