(KSL News) It could be Northwest or no partner at all for Delta Air Lines.

Delta's chief financial officer was in Seattle today as the airline took delivery of a new plane.

Ed Bastian says Delta has a "great" plan to stand alone if it doesn't combine with Northwest Airlines. A deal has been held up by concerns over pilot seniority.

As for the jet, it's a Boeing 777-200 Worldliner. It the airline's first new jet in six years. The plane features state-of-the-art safety and entertainment systems. The business-class passenger seats are fully reclining.

Delta plans to get eight of the 276 passenger jets over the next 13 months.
