SALT LAKE CITY — A woman received minor injuries when the SUV she was driving rolled off a freeway ramp and landed near train tracks.
Utah Highway Patrol said the 49-year-old woman was driving an SUV northbound on I-215 west around 5:45 a.m. She made a lane change to take I-80 westbound and lost control of the vehicle.
The SUV crashed through the concrete barrier and a fence and slid down an embankment near some railroad tracks.
The driver was taken to the University of Utah hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators said excessive speed and improper tire tread may be factors of the crash.
