Christmas tree honors memory of Utahns killed in DUI crashes

Each one of the 70 custom ornaments on Farmington Station's Christmas tree bears the name of a victim of a DUI crash in Utah during the last five years. At Tuesday's unveiling, one of those families shared their story in hopes of preventing another tragedy.

A Davis County school bus driver arrested in October for investigation of DUI while transporting 75 children and adults to an event in Provo claims any erratic driving likely occurred because she had to answer several radio calls while behind the wheel.

Crews install new 70 mph freeway speed limit signs

Ninety-nine new signs went up along I-15 and I-215 Monday through the urban areas of the Wasatch Front proclaiming the speed limit had been officially raised from 65 mph to 70 mph.

Woman killed, 4 others injured in Riverton car accident

A 20-year-old woman died Saturday and several other people were injured in a car crash at the intersection of Redwood Road and Bangerter Highway. Witnesses told police the woman ran a red light.

UDOT plow drivers train with specialized 2-lane plow

Veteran UDOT plow drivers spent their day Tuesday training with the complex tow plow. That plow can treat roads with brine and salt, and also can deploy an extra plow that enables the rig to cover more than two lanes of traffic.
