PARK CITY — A man is in critical condition after being shocked by a power line in Park City.

The Park Record reports the man was shocked at a construction site in Old Town around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Crews were called to the 200 block of Norfolk Avenue and found a crane that had been unloading a steel beam from a trailer came too close to a power line, causing it to arc.

The victim, a 43-year-old man, was standing nearby and was shocked.

He was taken to a Salt Lake area hospital in critical condition, according to the Park Record.
