Amanda Butterfield reportingThe weather and snow conditions could not have been better for all the skiers and boarders on Utah's slopes today.

Though this season's snow totals aren't breaking any records, that's not stopping the resorts from bragging about their numbers.

"We've had 475 inches of snow so far, and it's only the middle of February, and 550 is our average," said Onno Wieringa, spokesperson for Alta Ski Resort.

Snowbird Ski Resort spokeswoman Laura Schaffer says, "We're sitting at 390 inches year-to-date, which is probably two feet more than what we got all year, last year."

Everyone agrees: you couldn't ask for a better day to hit the slopes.

"Gorgeous, good snow. It's great," says skier Hailee Christensen.

Skier Melodie Haslom loves all the snow, and skier Rich Broggi agrees. He says, "It couldn't be nicer, the sky is perfect, the snow is beautiful and the people are friendly."

Even considering that it's a holiday and it's crowded, no one seems to mind waiting in line.

This season is all the more sweet, considering last year's snow fall amount. "Last year was the lowest snow year in a long time, and we still had 400 inches of snow," Wieringa said.

Snowboarder Cory Richards says, "The snowfall already is so much better than last year."

But resorts we talked with, Alta and Snowbird, both say even with all the storms, this season isn't going to set any records as far as snowfall or the amount of boarders and skiers. "No, we're not breaking records on the number of people skiing. We have more people skiing on years with less snow because they can get here easier."

But today nobody here was concerned about breaking records. Even if no more snow comes, which it will, the resorts are set to finish the season strong. Haslom says, "So nice to have blue ski and sun out and everything.
