(KSL News) Utah lawmakers are considering repealing a law that allows some undocumented immigrants to pay in-state tuition if they graduated from a Utah high school.
Utah voters are split on the issue. A Dan Jones and Associates poll shows 41 percent of Utahns are in favor of undocumented immigrants receiving in-state tuition, and 51 percent are opposed.
Some civic and religious organizations are urging lawmakers to keep the law. They say making college education unaffordable discourages students and makes them less successful.
