CEDAR HILLS — The funeral is underway in Cedar Hills for the 14-year-old boy who died last week at a scout camp.
Dozens of scouts in uniform came out to show their support and respect for Bruce Rhiddlehoover who passed away last week after slipping under the wheels of a trailer at a scout camp in Sanpete County.
"You could never meet a sweeter, more kind-hearted young man," said Dan Gallup, the First Counselor in the scout's LDS stake.
Friends described Rhiddlehoover as a fun-loving and charitable young man. Gallup recalled a time when the scout took three years of his allowance and donated it to pay for a girl's cancer treatment.
Rhiddlehoover was better known by friends and family as "Rocky," and was never able to shake the nickname even though neighbors said that he tried.

"They were watching 'Rocky' and they thought that fit the mold because he was big and strong," said neighbor Paul Hollingshead.
Rhiddlehoover was performing a nightly duty of going around Tifie Scout Camp at Mountain Dell Scout Ranch and picking up trash when he fell under a trailer about 8 p.m., said Utah National Parks Council Scout Executive David Pack.
"He slipped and fell underneath the tires of the trailer that was carrying the trash," he said.
According to scout officials, the driver of the truck was a first aid instructor at the camp. The man has not been cited for the accident.
After the service ends, Rhiddlehoover's body will be taken to the American Fork Mortuary for burial. His family hung a banner on their porch that reads, "Rocky's mission accomplished: returned with honor."
