Ashley Hayes Reporting A powerful explosion blew through a wall at a Utah County business. Fortunately it happened after employees had already left for the day.

Firefighters say propane tanks are to blame. The tanks went off inside Pro-Steel Security Products Tuesday evening in Provo.

The impact tore through walls and blew off the building's steel doors. Vaults and gun safes inside the warehouse were damaged, but no one was hurt.

The blast went off just a couple hours after the work day ended. Folks near the building say the explosion created quite a scene.

Matthew Clauson, Witness: "I was loading my truck for tomorrow when I heard this explosion. It wasn't a popping. It was an explosion, and I turned around and there was smoke coming out of both ends of the building."

Blaine Harris, Witness: "Something ignited it, and it just flat blew apart."

The company president says there were about 1,000 safes inside and ready for shipping. Because those safes are fire resistant and made to protect guns stored inside them, they will likely just need to be repainted.

So it appears the warehouse took the brunt of the damage.

Once again no one was inside the building. No one was hurt.
