METROPOLIS/GOTHAM — "Man of Steel" made crazy amounts of money over the weekend, and it seems that just about everyone saw it, at least once.

The movie has received mixed reviews, and speculation about a Justice League movie has, of course, just become more and more intense. The movie has just about everyone talking, and we want to give you a few more things to talk about with them.

You can discuss that the fight scenes were too long or that Russell Crowe is pretty cool, but how about a few little things to blow your friends' minds?

Here are four Easter eggs in "Man of Steel" that you may have missed.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

Mort Weisinger

When Clark and his mother are going through some old photos, they come across one of a young Clark and his father, played by Kevin Costner, during a school science fair. The picture seems like a nice moment between a father and his son, but there's more to the sentimental photograph.

In the background there is an emblem with the name of the school, "Weisinger Primary School." While it may seem like just the name of some random school in Kansas, it's actually named after the famed comic book editor Mort Weisinger.

Weisinger is best known for editing the Superman comics in the '50s and '60s.

Supergirl

This one is a bit of a rumor, but interesting nonetheless.

When Clark is in the Fortress of Solitude and enters the long abandoned Kryptonian ship, he finds several pods with bodies inside. If you take a close look, one of the pods is open and empty.

DC Comics released a prequel comic before "Man of Steel" hit theaters explaining how the Kryptonian ship made its way to earth.

In the comic, a distant cousin of Kal-El, Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, was aboard that ship. Someone killed everyone on the ship while they were in the pods.

According to the film, it appears that one person managed to escape.

Lex Luthor

There was a lot of speculation as to whether Superman's arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor, would make an appearance in the film.He didn't. Well, not in person, at least.

There is no mention of Luthor in the film, but we do get a couple of looks at his company's logo.

During Superman's fight with Faora-Ul in Smallville, a semi-truck with the "LexCorp" logo is destroyed. Later, during Superman's final battle with Zod, the logo pops up again atop a skyscraper in Metropolis.

Bruce Wayne

As soon as "Man of Steel" was announced, fans wanted to know if Christian Bale's Batman would eventually meet up with Superman. Much to the disappointment of comic fans everywhere, Batman never showed up in the film. Bruce Wayne, on the other hand, did — kind of.

During Superman and Zod's fight, the last son of Krypton manages to hurl Zod into and through a satellite.

It was almost impossible to notice, but the satellite actually had the "Wayne Enterprises" logo on it.

When this little nugget popped up it got fans excited, not just because of the almost too-subtle Batman reference, but the logo actually matches the logo used in Nolan's Batman films.

"Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder said the logo is just a nod to Nolan and not necessarily proof that Bale's Batman lives in this universe, but there's a good chance he's just playing coy. If he's not, we can always hope, right?

These are merely four Easter eggs in a movie packed full of them, so what else did you see? Share with us your Easter eggs from "Man of Steel" on the comment boards, Facebook or send an email.
