SALT LAKE CITY — A well-written TV show manages to manipulate us into thinking the characters are a part of our family, and we cry when there's tragedy and cheer when there's triumph.

It's almost a sad commentary on society when we realize how attached we are to our shows, but who are we kidding, we tune in every week for a reason.

The Writer's Guild of America decided to play with our emotions a bit more and release a list of what were voted as the 101 best-written TV shows of all time.

#poll1

The list will likely get you heated because your favorite isn't in the top 20 or maybe didn't even make the cut. While I personally think the list is pretty solid, I can't say I agree with the order, especially the top 10, and the fact that "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" isn't on the list almost nullifies it completely.

I do not agree with the No. 1 pick and I believe number 21 is listed way too low, but what do I know? I'm just the movie guy, right?

Anyway, the list is below, and make sure to let us know what you think of it on the comment boards, Facebook or send an email.
