Andrew Adams reportingMitt Romney's gaining steam in Florida, thanks largely to his making the economy a major cog of his campaigning.

If turnout at his rallies is any indicator, Mitt Romney's money talk is paying dividends. At a recent event in Naples, campaigners were expecting a turnout of dozens. Instead, there were hundreds. Romney's also hitting the airwaves with his message, including on WINK radio.

"The economic downturn, the decline of the dollar, of course the stock market, it's calling for immediate and dramatic action. And I believe I will be able to work with Republicans and Democrats to take action," he said.

Romney's even shot to the top of at least one poll in Florida. Rasmussen has him leading by five points over John McCain.
