(KSL News) A new report from UCLA shows the number of same-sex couples living in Utah is growing.

The report found that in 2005 there were more than 4,300 same-sex couples living in the state. That is up almost 1,000 from a survey taken five years earlier.

The study also found that 19 percent of gay and lesbian couples are raising at least one child under the age of 18 in their homes.

Salt Lake County has the highest number of same-sex couples in the state. Wayne and Daggett counties have the fewest.
