Andrew Adams and AP reportingSingle-digit temperatures are expected for at least another night along the Wasatch Front, and they already may be to blame for one death in Ogden.

The unidentified man's body was found Wednesday on the second floor of an old furniture store on Washington Boulevard. The building had not been used in about six years and was boarded up.

Officers say they have no reason to expect foul play in the man's death. They believe the man was homeless and died from exposure to the cold.

Ogden Police Lt. Scott Sangberg says people should be in shelters this time of year, and even jail cells are an option. He says the problem is getting people into shelters. He says, "A lot of these individuals really don't like even a little bit of structured environment."

The 44-year-old man was found by investors looking at buying the building.

Nighttime temperatures in Ogden dipped into the single digits this week.

Two Ogden deaths were attributed to cold in 2007. One man was found frozen to death in a field. Another person was crushed by a trash compactor after taking shelter in a trash bin.
