ANAHEIM, Calif. — Rumors that Disneyland is considering building a "Star Wars" land have continued to grow, despite Disney declining to make an announcement about the park's future.

The rumors first started a few weeks ago when Disneyland annual passholders started receiving surveys asking them whether they would visit a Star Wars-themed land at the park.

Twitter user Ken Layne posted a screen grab of the survey on the social networking site, saying, "The 11-year-old part of me is very pleased with this development."

The survey asked, "How interested would you be in visiting a Star Wars themed land at the Disneyland Resort?" and asked guests to rate their interest on a scale of 1–10, from "not interested at all" to "extremely interested."

Other questions included which Star Wars character guests would be most interested in seeing in person, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Star Wars has been on Disney's mind for at least a year, when rumors on the Disneyland Paris forum that a Star Wars land would open in 2015 were apparently confirmed by the [$4.05 billion acquisition last year](<http://disneyandmore.blogspot.com/2012/04/star-wars-land-coming-to-disneyland.html" target=_blank>Disney and More blog.

A Disney official declined to comment on the matter. That the Walt Disney Co. would be moving forward with a Star Wars land in America is unsurprising, though, considering the company>) of Lucasfilm, which controls the Star Wars franchise.

Disney has already announced plans to keep the franchise alive by releasing the first of at least three additional Star Wars films in 2015.
