SALT LAKE CITY — The Governor's Office of Economic Development the Economic Development Corporation of Utah announced Thursday an incentive agreement with Pleasant Grove-based dōTERRA — a company that makes aromatic compounds from natural ingredients — that will bring more than 300 new jobs.
Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, the company will pay approximately $83 million in new state tax revenue and will make $60 million in capital investment.
“Although only a few years old, dōTERRA has already brought many jobs to Utah County," said Gov. Gary Herbert.
The company will add 330 new full-time jobs to its headquarters in Pleasant Grove. The positions will pay $136.4 million in new state wages — or at least 125 percent of Utah County's average annual wage including benefits.
“dōTERRA's choice to utilize our incentives program will keep their expansion in Utah and will further benefit the community and the state,” said GOED executive director Spencer Eccles.
