(KSL News) Some Utahns enjoyed the nice weather today by getting out to help some good causes.

Several hundred joined in a 5-K run, walk and wheel put on by the Alta Club. Proceeds will benefit the Make a Wish Foundation of Utah.

Organizers hope to raise enough money to send a young boy to the Smithsonian.

Hundreds also walked in teams for the big March of Dimes Walk America fundraiser.

Since it began in 1970, Walk America has raised more than a billion dollars for research into premature birth and to help families.

Nearly 52-hundred babies will be born prematurely in Utah this year.
