SALT LAKE CITY — Workers ranked Utah's capital city as one of the best places to work in America.
The website CareerBliss.com ranked cities across the nation using 36,000 independent employee reviews that reflected relationships with co-workers, environment, growth opportunities and more.
Salt Lake City came in number ten on the happiest place to work list with a 3.93 score on a 5-point scale. Employees ranked the "the people you work with" at 4.33, while "the way you work" came in second at 4.16. Available growth opportunities were ranked the lowest at 3.30.
The happiest city to work in was Dayton, Ohio, followed by Knoxville, Tenn. and Honolulu, Hawaii came in third.
Boulder, Colo. was the most unhappy place to work, as workers expressed pessimism in growth opportunities and compensation. Reno, Nev. followed in second place, and Fresno, Calif., and Little Rock, Arkansas tied for third.
