Jed Boal ReportingA tragic scene in West Valley tonight. A young wife tried breaking through police lines, but detectives held her back. On the other side of the crime scene tape was her dead husband. Authorities are trying to track down the gunman.
Investigators are collecting evidence at the house on 5990 West and 3100 South. Police say 23-year old Victor Brillones is the suspected killer. They know where he lives, but have not made an arrest.

Around 5:30, Brillones and victim got into argument in the victim's driveway. Police say the men fought over property but will not say anymore about a motive at this time. The Brillones pulled out a handgun and shot the victim several times at close range.
He fell dead in his driveway and the Brillones took off in an F-150 pickup.
Capt. T. McLachlan, West Valley Police Dept.: "We've got other detectives working other locations right at this moment to locate the suspect. We would like to verify the plate number and the description on the truck."

Police say a young child was at home when the man was shot. That child is now with relatives. The victim's wife arrived and had to be comforted by police.
Police are looking for Victor Brillones tonight. If anyone knows his whereabouts, they are asked to call police.
