SALT LAKE CITY — There is plenty happening this weekend in the Salt Lake Valley. Find events and information below.

Tour of Utah hotspots

Stages 5 and 6 of the Tour of Utah will be hosted in Park City August 11 and 12. Stage 5 is set to begin in Newpark, will head toward Sundance resort, complete the Alpine loop, head to Little Cottonwood Canyon and climb up to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, where it will conclude.

Back in Park City on Sunday for the circuit race, bikers will begin their climb over Wolf Creek Ranch and Guardsman Pass from Main Street, where the race will also loop back to for the finish.

A chalk art festival and lifestyle expo will take place on Park City's Main Street Sunday, and cyclists will be available for autographs at the starting line on Sunday. For more information, visit the Tour of Utah website.

Craft Lake City

On Saturday, August 11, more than 180 local artists and crafters will get together at the Gallivan Center to promote their work and sell their wares. Science and technology booths, among others, will also be there.

Children are encouraged to attend, and a children's area will be open from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m., where they can make arts and crafts projects.

The event will take place from noon until 10 p.m.

Fire and Ice Festival

Ice skating and a pool party will be accompanied by live music, fireworks show, rides and more at the Kearns Oquirrh Park on August 11.

The event is open to all ages and ride wristbands will cost $2.

Utah emergency contact service

Utah.gov and the Utah Department of Public Safety Driver License Division have launched a new emergency contact service for people who are in an accident and unable to communicate in an emergency situation.

Using a valid driver's license, ID card, or driver's permit, Utahns can attach emergency contact information by visiting secure.utah.gov/emergencycontacts/ and provide their last name, driver’s license or ID number and issue date, and the last four digits of their Social Security number.
