RIVERTON — A 48-year-old Riverton woman seriously injured in a bicycle accident on Saturday has died.

Family members confirmed that Cathi Turner succumbed to her injuries Saturday a few hours after arriving at the hospital.

A passer-by spotted Turner on the side of the road on Redwood Road south of Camp Williams at about 11 a.m. Saturday. She had crashed, was unconscious and not breathing, police said.

The passer-by administered CPR until medical help arrived. Turner was flown Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say Turner was traveling south down the hill and apparently lost control of her bike. She crashed into the rocks and dirt off the road, where she was found. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
