RIVERTON — A bicyclist was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition Saturday.

A passer-by was on 10400 North and Redwood Road around 11 a.m. when they saw a female bicyclist off the road unconscious. The woman, 48-year-old Cathi Turner from Riverton, was not breathing at the time, and the passer-by administered CPR until medical help arrived.

Turner was flown to Intermountain Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, Turner was traveling south down the hill and apparently lost control. She crashed into the rocks and dirt off the road, where she was found. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
