(KSL News) A Kaysville man died after being struck by lightning.

Gary Richter was camping in the Poison Mountain area of Summit County over the weekend when a storm moved in.

The Deseret Morning News reports Richter, his son and brother all went into the tent. Authorities say lightning struck a stovepipe poking out of the tent.

All three people were injured. Richter did not survive.
