(KSL News) Search and Rescue crews were called out today to locate a man stuck on the Timpooneke trail in American Fork Canyon.

The 24-year-old and several of his friends left a nearby campground late last night to go hiking. The man became wet and was unable to get back down the mountain. His friends put him in a tent, where the group stayed throughout the rest of the night.

Tonight crews were able to help the man walk down the mountain to safety.

Officials say he had severe hypothermia, but is expected to be ok.
