(KSL News) The "Great Pumpkin" may not have appeared today in Woods Cross, but many worthy contenders did.
This is the time of year for people to harvest giant pumpkins that they've been growing all year. Today several growers converged at the Rockin' E Country Store to weigh in their harvest.
Mike Kushlan explained, "It's a combination of good genetics, seeds, good soil, lot of water, high water bill, and a little bit of luck too."
Bountiful grower Kenny Blair's pumpkin took home the top prize. It weighed in at 988 pounds.
