SALT LAKE CITY -- Latino-review.com is reporting that the latest trailer for the highly anticipated “The Avengers” movie is attracting a lot of attention from hopeful moviegoers.

“We received a release from the Publicity Department at Disney that the trailer broke iTunes’ record for views in a 24-hour period," wrote Latino-Review.com. "The 'Avengers' trailer was viewed 13.7 million times on its first day alone. Wow. I know I watched it three separate times on different devices, so you’re welcome Disney.”

Feedback regarding the trailer has been overwhelmingly positive, as comic-book movie fans gear up for one of the most superhero-laden summers in history. With the final chapter of Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise (“The Dark Knight Rises” ) and a complete reboot of the Spider Man story (“The Amazing Spider- Man”) hitting theaters in July, “The Avengers” will try to set the summer off right, bringing four of Marvel’s biggest movie franchises into a single film.

“In ‘Marvel’s The Avengers’” Disney released to Latino-Review, “The world’s greatest Super Heroes assemble when Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) join S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to protect the world from the dangerous and powerful villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).”

The trailer offers a glimpse at several big moments in the film, including a scene where the Hulk flies through the air to rescue an unconscious Iron Man, and another which follows Iron Man luring a giant, flying serpent-like character to an already battle-weary Avengers team. Empire Online believes the slithery villain is one of Marvel’s reoccurring monsters, Fin Fang Foom — a character Iron Man, The Hulk, and Thor have all interacted with throughout their comic histories.

“The Avengers” will be opening up across the nation on May 4th, and you can find more information online at marvel.com.
