(KSL News) The Utah Department of Corrections has finished its investigation into security lapses at the Daggett County Jail.

The investigation came after two inmates escaped from the jail by slipping through an unlocked door and climbing over a fence.

Corrections Chief Tom Patterson tells the Deseret Morning News the jail had procedural, technological and staffing issues.

For security purposes, Patterson cannot be specific about the changes that will be made. However, he says they will be "significant."
