(KSL News) -- Police think they found the suspects who assaulted a bicyclist in Alpine.
The Alpine-Highland Police Department says 29-year-old Jason Anderson was riding his bike along the Alpine Highway.
He told police someone hanging out of a passing car hit him with an aluminum bat.
Investigators have three teens in custody. They think one of them actually used his fist to hit the victim, but, at that speed, the force knocked Anderson off his bike.

Police are searching for suspects who drove past a bicyclist on the Alpine Highway in Utah County and hit that person with a bat. Other bikers say they're disturbed by the crime.
Randy Gibb loves to go on long rides. He's not only a cyclist, he sells bikes as well. He calls what happened along the Alpine Highway, "horrible."
"You never know who could be riding along. It could be a relative, it could be a doctor, a dentist, anybody," Gibb says.
Alpine Police say as a car passed a cyclist, a person leaned out the back window and hit the rider - most likely with an aluminum bat. Officers say the rider was knocked unconscious, and was taken to a medical center for treatment. Gibb says he's heard of things being thrown at other riders, but never of anything like this. He insists it won't deter him from riding along the Alpine Highway.
"It's great terrain out there, especially out near American Fork Canyon," Gibb says.
