(KSL News) -- A bizarre accident at Taylorsville High School sent a student to the hospital.
A 15-year old girl was hit by a javelin during a track meet. The javelin hit her in the leg while she walked across the field.
Her parents were in the stands, and accompanied her to the hospital.
The javelin throwing portion of the meet has been cancelled, but athletes are still competing in other events.
A student who witnessed the accident told us the girl is a student at Hillcrest High.
